Senior Farewell Video

Our video theme was just a bunch of videos from junior year until now. It was kind of nostalgic because you get to see us grow into the people we are now. It depicts all of our memories. My part in the project was to find videos and pictures to add. For the most part, Rute the same thing. The difficult part was recovering our work when we went to work on it the next class because some of the videos wouldnt save. The easiest part was finding the media to add because we had so many videos.

Rute and me are in a group together. Our project is going to consist of a bunch of videos from junior to senior put together. It will kind of resemble a time capsule. I am contributing videos and pictures to our project.

Infographic Poster

My infographic relates to my capstone because it lists some of the causing factors of nurse fatigue and it also has some facts about the effect insufficient sleep has on nurses. I didn't really have to do much research to create the poster because I knew the majority of this topic. The most difficult thing was creating the actual poster, choosing what colors, and drawing pictures. The easiest thing was coming up with what to put on the actual poster. I created my infographic during winter term and I didn't really make any changes because I liked how it was, but I still need to tweak it. I need to add the source I used and change the color up a bit.

Capstone Infographic

I've already created an infographic for my capstone. Somethings I could do to improve it are change the color scheme a little bit, maybe change the position of the words, changing the color of some words, and maybe messing with the font. Overall, I like where my poster is at and am satisfied with the way it looks.

PSA Reflection

I finished making my PSA video and I have met all requirements. Since I didn't have access to nurses that I could interview so my audience could hear about nurse fatigue from experience, I used words to get my point across. I described what nurse fatigue is and listed some causes and why the audience should care about this issue.

 I think the information on this document is extremely helpful. Even though some of the things it states are common sense, it's benefits someone who has never heard of a PSA. All in all, the main point of a PSA is to catch someones attention, get your point across, and get the audience to help make the change you want.

The two links I posted are longer than the amount of time our videos are supposed to be. It was difficult finding PSA videos over my topic.

My PSA video is going to be about nurse fatigue and its effect on performance. In my video, I will emphasize the fatigue part of my project, so people can understand what their fatigue consists. I'll most likely use words because I don't have access to a hospital and hospital equipment but I can use different animations to describe the problem. I'll use different fonts and colors so it can appeal to the audience. The PSA will consist of text and have a serious tone.

Capstone Project Statement Of Intent

A) The goal of my project to help relieve nurses of their stress and fatigue caused by their job.
B) It is important because these nurses are taking care of us, the patients and due to the fatigue they are more likely to make mistakes. Their fatigue affects not only patient safety but their own health.
C) I am becoming a nurse, so my project applies to me in every aspect because I will soon be that fatigued nurse.
D) It helps them realize how much nurses actually work and helps prevent them from making medical mistakes and placing patients in danger.
